The new Wembley stadium looked impressive as we walked toward it, the fading daylight making it look even more iconic, the large metal arch hanging high and confidant in the sky.
We passed the new stadium by and continued to the arena, the fountain had a little dance when the coloured lights hit it, and some non-de script country music was playing over the PA system.
We entered the arena itself, hoards of people rushed by in attempts to buy beer and junk food before going to their assigned seats.
We entered the arena itself, our seats were on the right side of the auditorium and we had a clear view of the stage, looking down on the masses of fans below us , like the Olympian gods themselves.
We sat and after a short period of time the house went dark and the stage lights ignited; the main attraction came out onto the stage to be applauded and screamed and generally adored and idolised.
''It takes a lot of money to look this cheap'' she quipped to an appreciative audience.
Then she went into her first song, a story of jealousy and insecurity.
''Jolene''
Yep, it was Dolly Parton in concert.
I ain't no line dancing bear, but I have to say it was great show.
Welcome to Dollywood.
